What this notice covers

Pxin is designed as a playful on-device companion. You can rotate a spherical pet, try emotion faces, feed snacks in toy mode, optionally track light hunger and energy, edit how the pet looks, and keep short photo-journal moments with captions.

This page describes information that may be processed so those features can work. It is limited to the app experience itself and does not invent features Pxin does not offer.

Playing without an account

Pxin does not require registration or sign-in. There is no mandatory profile system, no password vault inside the app, and no cloud membership portal to maintain. You can open the app and interact with the pet immediately on your device.

Because there is no app-managed account, many traditional “account privacy” workflows (such as remote profile deletion through a Pxin user dashboard) do not apply. Local records are managed through in-app controls and your device settings.

Signals that may appear on your device

Depending on how you use Pxin, the following categories of information may be created or accessed locally:

Interaction and preference state

  • Selected emotion face, appearance colors, outline and stage preferences
  • Feature toggles such as ambient day-period mood, idle sleep behavior, sound, haptics, effects, and survival play
  • Light survival values (hunger and energy) when that mode is enabled
  • Short on-stage captions generated as playful reactions during interaction

Touch-driven gaze cues

  • On-screen touch and drag positions used so the pet can look toward your finger

Pxin uses touch coordinates on the display for this effect. It does not use the front camera to detect faces or map facial landmarks.

Photo journal materials

  • Photos you capture or select for journal entries
  • Short written notes you attach to those entries
  • Optional labels describing the pet’s emotion face at the time of saving
  • Timestamps associated with each entry

Technical and diagnostic context from the operating system

  • Basic device and OS context that Apple may process when you install, update, or use the app through the App Store and iOS frameworks
  • Crash or performance signals that the operating system or App Store distribution environment may generate according to your device settings

Permissions you may grant

Certain journal actions request system permission before they can proceed:

  • Camera — only if you choose to take a photo for a journal entry
  • Photo library — only if you choose to pick an existing photo for a journal entry

Declining a permission means the related capture or selection step will not work until you enable it in iOS Settings. Other companion features that do not need those permissions remain available.

Why those signals exist

  • To render the pet, remember your look preferences, and continue light survival or idle behaviors between sessions
  • To respond to taps, drags, feeding play, and emotion changes with short captions and animations
  • To store journal photos and notes you intentionally save
  • To respect accessibility and motion preferences you set in the app or on the device
  • To operate the app on iOS and distribute updates through Apple’s platforms

Where information stays

Preference values and survival state are typically kept in local app storage on your device. Journal images and notes are stored in the app’s local file area rather than being uploaded by Pxin to a Pxin-operated cloud album.

If you use device backups, iCloud device backup, or other Apple system tools, copies of local app data may be included according to your Apple account and device backup settings. Those systems are controlled by Apple, not by a separate Pxin web console.

Network activity expectations

Core play, emotion display, appearance editing, feeding interactions, survival toggles, and journal saving are designed to work as on-device features. Pxin is not built around a required cloud profile sync for daily play.

Your device may still communicate with Apple services for App Store delivery, license checks, operating-system functions, or optional system analytics governed by Apple’s own policies and your privacy settings. Pxin does not use those system channels as a substitute for a Pxin social network or remote messaging product.

Platform and system services

Pxin relies on Apple iOS frameworks for rendering, local persistence, camera and photo pickers, haptics, and related system capabilities. When those frameworks process information, Apple’s terms and privacy disclosures apply to that platform layer.

This notice does not claim that no other entity can ever process device-level signals. It describes Pxin’s product behavior: companion play and journal content are oriented around local use on your handset.

Choices available to you

  • Leave survival mode off if you prefer not to keep hunger and energy values
  • Disable ambient time, idle sleep, sound, haptics, or visual effects in Settings
  • Decline camera or photo-library access and still use non-journal features
  • Delete individual journal entries or clear journal content from within the app
  • Reset appearance preferences using in-app controls
  • Remove the app, which deletes the app sandbox data associated with that installation on that device (subject to any backups you maintain)

Younger audiences

Pxin is a casual toy-style experience and is not directed at collecting personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has saved journal photos or notes on a shared device, you can delete those entries in the app or uninstall the app.

Where applicable children’s privacy laws apply to your use, we process information only as needed to provide the on-device features described here and in accordance with those laws.

Keeping and removing local records

Preferences and survival values generally remain until you change them, reset them, or remove the app. Journal entries remain until you delete them or clear the journal. The app may also apply a practical upper limit on how many journal entries are retained to conserve device storage.

Uninstalling Pxin removes local app data for that install on that device. It does not automatically erase copies that may exist in device backups you control.

Practical safeguards

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to a local companion app, including relying on iOS sandboxing and storing journal media in the app’s local storage area. No method of electronic storage or device use can be guaranteed to be free from risk. Protect your device with a passcode, biometrics, and up-to-date system software.

When this notice changes

If Pxin’s features or handling practices change in a meaningful way, this notice may be updated and made available with the app or through related product pages. Continued use after an update means you are reviewing the then-current version of this notice.

For orientation, the current version became effective on September 4, 2026.

Legal framework

This notice is intended to be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United States and, where your use occurs elsewhere, other applicable laws that govern consumer apps and personal information in your jurisdiction.

If a dispute arises that relates to this notice, it may be addressed before competent dispute resolution bodies under those applicable laws, without limiting any non-waivable rights you may have as a consumer.
